Center for Economicology

Center for Economicology is a sixth-grade-only school located on Plainfield Avenue NE in Grand Rapids. The program focuses on environmental and sustainability education in partnership with the Wege Foundation. Students participate in hands-on, project-based experiences such as camping trips, field studies at places like Riverside Park and the Great Lakes, renewable energy units, and green home design. The school emphasizes six guiding values—ecology, economics, empathy, environment, ethics, and education—which helps cultivate thoughtful, engaged young learners.
