Our five generation home needed to be sold. Stephanie knew the neighborhood not just real-estate but the streets, local shopping, and restaurants. She showed how the asking price for our house would fit with other houses on the market. She offered three scenarios for selling - as is, simple fixes, and small updates. From start to finish we knew what to expect even when the offers came in. Each of the 18 offers were explained and the choice was ours. The higher than asking conventional loan offer looked good. After a few weeks Stephanie saw signs that the buyer might be backing out. She had already called our second choice offer with a heads up. Indeed the first offer backed out. I can't say enough great things about Joni. She graciously navigated my husband and I through the home buying process. The current market is crazy, and we had heard horror stories of people searching for a home for years, putting multiple offers on homes – and still coming out empty handed. We had the complete opposite experience with Joni. For us, no time was wasted. The second home we toured, we fell in love with. Joni navigated us through the experience of drafting up a strong offer. She did all the "extra work" (that most agents don't do) of contacting the listing agent and gathering the insights in order to draft the strongest offer. In the end, all of her extra effort paid off. We didn't have the highest offer – but the strongest offer, and ultimately got the house. We worked with Jim Hocking and he was an amazing realtor. He wasn’t just trying to sell a house, he would point out things wrong with the home and give us his opinion which I really appreciated because I felt like he was really looking out for us. I didn’t want just another person trying to make a sale, I wanted someone who actually knew what they were talking about and was looking out for our best interest. He would point out things we didn’t even notice or even give us an estimate of how much it would be to fix something. He made sure to check all the big ticket items like the furnace, water heater, and roof. He was very thorough and informative. Even when we decided on a home, he was good about recommending someone for an inspection and appraisal. We wanted to move because we had been living with my mom for a couple years and felt like it was time. We weren’t sure what we were looking for in a realtor so when Jim reached out to us through Zillow, we gave him a shot. I accidentally ended up with Kurt Loosenort as my real estate person. I feel so lucky having him made all the difference. We were only in town for a few days house hunting and looked at a house which a bid had to be in that night.
