Summer is in full swing here in West Michigan, and we are excited to share a myriad of exciting activities for you to indulge yourself in! For the month of July alone, there are enough events to enjoy nearly every day. Some highlights are included below!

~ Every Sunday from July 1 through August 19 at 8pm is a free concert from the 24th Annual Cook Carillon Concert Series, hosted by the Grand Valley State Department of Music. These are performed on the Allendale campus of Grand Valley State University at the Cook Carillon Tower.

~ Not enough concerts, you say? Have no fear - the Fifth Third Bank Summer Concerts at Meijer Gardens run through September, featuring artists such as The Beach Boys, Alabama, Styx, and Air Supply. Johnny Mathis and Shania Twain will perform on July 18, and Yanni is at DeVos Hall on the 24th.

~ Community events are occurring literally nonstop around the city, from numerous daily brewery and museum tours to weekly free yoga at the Sixth Street Bridge park to more art displays than we could possibly mention. Outdoor movies are shown at no charge every other Friday night, starting on July 6th at 555 Monroe Ave. Amway Family Fireworks are going off on July 7, in case you didn't get enough during the week, and the monthly Vintage Street Market July 8 event lets you shop for classic and antique items.

~ Got kids? Lucky you! Every day of the month they can play Garden Detective at the Meijer Gardens as well as many other activities. The Grand Rapids Public Library is hosting Baby Time every Monday at 11am in the downtown branch with stories and music, and on July 11 kids can use interactive Lego stations to learn principles of science and engineering at the Downtown Market. Plus, don't miss National Carousel Day at the Grand Rapids Public Museum on July 25th!
