At Brookside Elementary, we believe that partnerships between school staff and caregivers are essential for creating a positive and collaborative learning environment. Brookside Elementary is a school that takes pride in its ability to offer a variety of services to students and their families. Parent Teacher Community Council provides parents with an opportunity to be involved in their child's education, while community-based mentoring gives students a chance to interact with positive role models from the outside world. ESL services are available for both PK and 5th grade students, and the partnership with the Kroc Center provides access to fine arts and movement education, as well as swim lessons. The Brookside Community Garden Plot allows students to learn about sustainable gardening practices, and the rain garden helps to reduce stormwater runoff. Finally, the Green Schoolyard Grant has resulted in the addition of natural play structures and an outdoor classroom, providing students with even more opportunities to explore and learn.
