Congress Elementary

Congress is a unique neighborhood school located in the East Hills community. Local businesses are within walking distance and have been integral partners and supporters of scholars, staff, and families. The school has a strong focus on academics, with a rigorous curriculum that challenges scholars to think critically and creatively. In addition, Congress offers a variety of extracurricular activities and programs that enrich the scholar experience. Families are highly involved in the life of the school, and there is a strong sense of community. Congress is a special place where scholars can grow and thrive.

Congress Elementary is a culturally diverse school that provides students with an enriching educational experience. The school is housed in a historic building and offers Art, Music, P.E., and Spanish classes. Congress Elementary is celebrated for its inviting school culture and its scholar diversity. The teachers at Congress Elementary have been trained to support best practice teaching and are certified in English Language (EL) credentials. Congress Elementary is also identified as a Cultural Center. The smaller population at Congress Elementary provides students with more individualized attention from their teachers. This allows each student to receive the best education possible and prepare them for success in the future.

At Congress, we believe that teamwork is essential for success. We work closely with families to ensure that our scholars have the support they need to succeed academically and socially. We pride ourselves on our clear communication and our ability to tailor our strategies and lessons to meet the individual needs of our scholars. We challenge our scholars daily to help them develop a growth mindset. Our goal is to help every scholar reach his or her full potential. We believe that with the right support, all of our scholars can succeed.

The Parent Teacher Community Council (PTCC) is an important part of the Congress community. The PTCC provides caregivers with information and resources to help their children succeed in school and in life. PTCC also works closely with community organizations to provide support and opportunities for families. Congress is grateful to have such strong caregiver involvement through the PTCC and collaboration with community organizations. These partnerships are essential to our community's success. Thank you for your dedication to our children and our community.
