Located southeast of Grand Rapids, the Fuller Avenue neighborhood gives residents a great place to call home. With more than 2,000 people calling this neighborhood home, it is filled with great homes and happy people. Over the years, the neighborhood has gone through many positive changes and residents continue to work together to maintain the positive growth.

One way the community has made an effort to improve is by holding a “dumpster day.” On dumpster day, the community is welcome to bring their unwanted items to be discarded and removed from the neighborhood. If items are too large for community members to remove, Fuller Avenue Neighbors Association board members will pick them up for you. This has been a effective way to help improve the visual aspect of the community making it a more desirable area to live in.

Within the Fuller Avenue neighborhood, there are two great places to stop by and grab a snack. Last Mile Coffee invites residents to enjoy a cup of coffee and a calm atmostphere. Just down the street in the Fuller Avenue neighborhood is the Hall Street Bakery.  This bakery is perfect for grabbing a snack or bite to eat followed by one of their yummy pastries for dessert. If you are looking to take something home with you, take some of their flavorful bread to go.

Within the Fuller Avenue neighborhood, there are two great schools for children to attend. Park School is part of the Grand Rapids Public School District and Oakdale Christian School has been around for more than 100 years.

CLOSE BY AMENITIES

Although the Fuller Avenue neighborhood has some great amenities of its own, there are several amenities just outside the neighborhood boundaries. One of these amenities is just across the street from the border and brings people from surrounding neighborhoods to enjoy. The Ottawa Hills Branch of the Grand Rapids Public Library is a great place for people of all ages to enjoy. This library branch hosts a number of events throughout the year for adults and children of all ages to attend.

Just north of the neighborhood, Grand Rapids Christian Elementary and Pontiac Field can be found. Established by Grand Rapids Christian Elementary, Pontiac Field is a great naturally preserved area for residents to enjoy. This area is used for sporting events like track and field and also provides a playground for residential use.

Also located just north of the neighborhood is Martin Luther King Jr Park which is comprised of almost 17-acres of land. This park has great amenities like a seasonal swimming pool, tennis courts, a baseball diamond, and so much more. One of the features that make this park unique is that you can find an orchard in this park.
