Historic beauty…

The historic Meyer May House, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1909, is located in Heritage Hill. Steelcase bought, restored, and continues to maintain the historic beauty of this home. They offer tours Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.

If you’re interested in seeing other historic neighborhood homes, many times throughout the year there are opportunities to walk through some of the homes that are located in Heritage Hill. The Heritage Hill Annual Weekend Tour of Homes is a two day event in May dating back to 1969.

Great schools…

Not only does Heritage Hill feature a gorgeous array of historic buildings, great schools for students of all ages can be found here. Grand Rapids Community College’s (GRCC) Snedden Hall is located in the neighborhood. GRCC students enjoy the historic charm of the neighborhood while walking around campus.

For younger learners, there are several fantastic schools in the Grand Rapids Public School District in the neighborhood, Grand Rapids Montessori Public School and Innovation Central High being two of them.

All residents of the neighborhood are automatically members of the Heritage Hill Association, and there are no fees for membership. Even if you’re not a resident, the association welcomes you to join the movement for keeping the neighborhood historic for years to come.
