Kentwood

Southwest of Grand Rapids, Kentwood Public Schools offer students some unique opportunities when attending school. The art gallery is a place for students who attend the schools to display their artwork to the public. The ability to display their artwork is a great way to encourage students to excel in the fine arts program. Along with the art gallery, the fine arts program offers band, an orchestra, vocal, and theatre for students to participate in. Another unique feature that is part of the Kentwood Public School district is the Kentwood Ice Arena where students can play sports that require an ice rink. The ice arena is also open to the public providing adult leagues and open skating to learn how to ice skate.

Just a short drive away, you can explore downtown Grand Rapids which is filled with great restaurants and local shops. If you are interested in staying a little closer to home, you can visit some of the restaurants on 44th street or stop by Woodland Mall for a bite to eat. Olga’s is a popular destination where you can grab some grub wrapped in a soft pita shell topped with Olga Sauce. While you are there, you can spend some time shopping at the different stores that call Woodland Mall home.
